With a lifelong love of the beach and the sea, discovering the joys of hunting for sea glass and happening to live so close to one of the global epicentres for sea glass - Seaham, North East England - I was hooked. Pairing this with my love of creating,  Brine & Shine was born!.  Spurred on from finding a vast collection of beaurtifl glass, I felt compelled to experiment with what I could make with it. I didn't want to alter or spoil what the sea had made of it and decided that the glass is so beautiful, simplicity is the key to designing jewellery that complements the colour and shape of the glass as it was found. I regularly attend local markets and fairs where I love to tell people the history of the glass as they admire the products. My fabulous family and friends have been very supportive from accompanying me on glass seeking missions, bringing cups of tea to my studio and coming to some of the larger events to help manage the stall.
